Interesting times being the Base Manager here in Kabul. Lot's to do some days, absolutely nothing to do others. I've been able to grab a few shots from around town in Kabul, and the surrounding areas.
Overall it's been very good so far, and I'm nearly done. It's been a great experience, and I've gotten to see some pretty cool places that I haven't had the chance to before.
The bed in the Base Manager's room is terrible though! AWFUL! Hard as a rock, and no give at all!
Can't wait to be home... Sunday night is the night!

These steel plates, known as Marsden Matting, are linked together to build the runway, and eat tires on a regular basis. This is the Russian model called a JR Landing Mat
