Cancellations and Recovery Flight

Today was not a good weather day in Afghanistan today.   Lot's of rain showers and low cloud in the north part of the country.  We had to cancel some of our flights today due to inclement weather at our destinations.

So, tomorrow we will have to go do a "recovery flight" to make up for those cancelled legs.

We went back to Chicken Street today to do some more shopping.  It was a rather interesting place to be today.  They were doing construction on a building, lots of welding and things...   A large piece of metal fell off the roof and smashed off the hood of a Mercedes-Benz and onto the ground.   Lucky!   Could have killed someone.

Here's a few pictures from today..  Not much to see with the bad weather though.

Now THIS is why you always fly at or above Minimum Safe Altitudes.   Otherwise you might have to answer those 3 famous questions:
1.  Where are we?
2.  Where are we going?
3.  Why the hell did we just pass a Mountain Goat in this cloud?
