Well, I'm back in the groove. Flying is going well and all the UN Staff at the outlying bases are very happy to see me again. Sending well wishes to all of you back home.
I'm still not quite over my jet lag yet, so sleeping has been a bit of a struggle. But last night I got a decent 8 hours.
Today I take Tom into Pakistan for the first time. Should be interesting, as he's never been to Islamabad before.
Had a real "beauty" of a landing yesterday. One of the runways is sort of rough out here, much worse than the others. Full of undulations and ridges in the pavement. Well, I set the plane up just nicely for a "greaser"... Suddenly all hope was gone when we clipped the top of one of the hills with the tires... BANG! WE HAAAVE ARRIVED! Oops.... Oh well. Next time. ;-)
Time to get ready for work. Pictures to come later today!
