Kandahar Tomorrow... Things heating up.

Another day done.  Things are getting a little more exciting over here recently.  An IED was detonated on Jalalabad Road yesterday, so Kabul went up to Grey City.  Not sure if anyone was injured or killed.

Also today a UN Helicopter was shot some distance south of Kabul in the mountains.  Nobody was injured and the helicopter made it to the ground just fine with only minor damage.   Looked like small arms fire, something like an AK-47.

Tomorrow will be an extremely long day.  We fly to Kandahar, then up to Bamiyan, and back to Kabul.  Then we go over to Pakistan, and back.

Here are some photos of the rotation so far...  As you'll see, there's more snow and stuff in the mountains now.
